Seek Out Michelin-Starred Restaurants:

While street food is undeniably delightful, don’t miss the opportunity to savor fine dining experiences. Cody Moxam knows that Michelin-starred restaurants are not just about food; they are about artistry, innovation, and precision. These establishments provide a unique window into a country’s culinary evolution. Make reservations well in advance to enjoy an unforgettable gastronomic journey.

Food Markets and Festivals:

Food markets and festivals are where a destination’s culinary heartbeat thrives. Cody Moxam recommends immersing yourself in these vibrant hubs of gastronomy. Taste seasonal produce, artisanal cheeses, and regional wines. Engaging with local producers and fellow food lovers can offer valuable insights into the culture and food heritage of the place you’re visiting.

Food Tours and Tastings:

To truly refine your foodie senses, consider joining guided food tours and tastings. Cody Moxam has found these experiences to be educational and enjoyable. Knowledgeable guides can introduce you to hidden gems and explain the history and significance of each dish or ingredient. It’s an opportunity to connect with the local culinary scene and appreciate the nuances of flavors.

In conclusion, traveling as a foodie is not just about eating; it’s about immersing yourself in a world of flavors, traditions, and experiences. Cody Moxam’s culinary adventures serve as a testament to the enriching journey that awaits those who seek to hone their foodie senses abroad. Embrace street food, learn to cook local dishes, indulge in Michelin-starred restaurants, explore food markets and festivals, and participate in food tours. So, pack your bags, embark on your next adventure, and savor every bite along the way.

Sampling the Newer Pastries at the Angelina Tearoom

January 3, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Since 1903, the Angelina Tearoom has been famed for its signature Mont-Blanc pastry. While many others have attempted to copy this delectable treat, few have even come close to Angelina’s perfect combination of meringue, light whipped cream, and chestnut cream topping — the recipe of which has been closely guarded since the Austrian confectioner, Antoine Rumpelmayer, perfected it over a century ago.

While the Mont-Blanc is reason enough to pay the Angelina Tearoom a visit, there are new additions to their pastry collection that definitely deserve a try. The obvious choice would be the Mont-Blanc Speculoos which is similar to its namesake, except it is enhanced by speculoos hearts and shreds — definitely a delightful addition.

The relatively new Trocadéro is also a must-try. It is an elegant confection composed of hazelnut biscuits in two different textures, layered with chocolate cream and hazelnut cream. All this is enrobed in a mixture of chocolate and ground almonds and piped with chocolate-infused light whipped cream.

If you prefer fruit over chocolate, try the Jardin Poire-Praliné. The structure of this pastry, beautifully designed to imitate a ripe pear, is enough to make ordering it worthwhile. However, a single taste will definitely let you appreciate the heart and soul that must have been poured into developing this perfect combination of crunchy praline biscuit, almond mousse, and pear jelly.

There are plenty of lesser-known yet equally delightful pastries at the Angelina Tearoom. Sampling them should definitely be considered as a must-do when in Paris.

Best Reasons To Book A Rental Car In A New Country

December 10, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Summary: Cut out the middle man, and take control of your travel budget and experience with a rental car.

Rideshares and big-name travel agencies may have made short-term travel simpler, but nothing tops the control and reliability of a rental car when you are exploring another country. You can easily bypass overcrowded Uber pools and tour buses with a personal vehicle that lets you decide the schedule and route for a one-time fee.

Whether you’re looking to solidify your travel budget or customize your tour experience, there are a few key, huge advantages to using a rental car.

Best Value For Your Budget

Tour companies market themselves with the best up-front prices for budget travelers, but there are dozens of hidden fees. These include driver tips, overpriced meals, and increased rates for hotel pick-up. At the end of your trip, you’ll end paying more per day than if you had planned the trip yourself. By combining a handful of travel apps with a car rental Amman can easily be explored on budget the next time you visit Jordan. You’ll pay a one-time fee and you’ll know what you’re getting.

Control Your Travel Experience

When you order a rental car, you will enjoy a tighter grip on your travel schedule, no longer reliant on the schedules and availability of local drivers. You can easily customize your entire journey and choose the route you want to take without slowing down for unnecessary tourist traps.

Ultimately, car rentals will offer a more reliable travel experience. All you have to do is pick up your keys with an agency like Monte Carlo Rent A Car, LLC and you’ll be ready to head down to the Dead Sea or get to your hotel without waiting for an overcrowded airport transfer.

From street corner cafes to establishments with high-end chefs, if you are looking for something in particular, you can find almost anything. This is especially true for baked good. Paris has no shortage of bakeries and patisseries, and although no single list will cover every place you would want to see, here are some places that you can use as a starting point:

Popelini

Poplini is a good example. The pocket-sized pastry shop specializes in and is a temple for cream puffs, affectionately called choux in French. You will find classic flavors like coffee, chocolate, along with some of the more exotic like a candied rose, passion fruit, and passion fruit.

Acide Macaron

If you want something experimental regarding flavors and ingredients, the Acide Macaron is known for making unusual treats. You will find interesting and inventive takes on classic flavors, and completely surprising choices taken from an array of cultures.

Angelina Tea House

Looking for some history, sophistication, and indulgence? Then the Angelina Tea House is worth a visit. The century-old property, where the likes of Coco Chanel rubbed shoulders with other Parisian royalty has the iconic Mont Blanc pastry which combines meringue, light whipped cream and chestnut paste.

Stohrer

The only Stohrer boutique is known to be the oldest patisserie in Paris and still maintains façade from the 18060’s. The establishment will soon drop any savory fair and focus entirely on pastries and sweets. If you’re looking for the classic French pastries, you won’t be disappointed.

Items Every Small Aircraft Owner Should Fly With

July 8, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Summary: When you are up in the air you want to be certain you have all the essentials you will need to get through the flight smoothly and safely.

Riding in a small aircraft for leisure or professional trips can be exciting and more enjoyable than a standard car-ride. While flying high up in the air you can get a much different view of the world around you and you can get to your destination much quicker than you would if you traveled by land. Seeing as you cannot easily make a pit-stop partway through a flight it is all the more crucial that the aircraft is stocked with the necessary supplies that might be needed to get from point A to point B.

Due to a small aircraft’s size, people have to be careful about how much they bring on board, leading to both the crew and passengers thinking about which things they really need to travel with. There are some crucial items you should pack onboard your small aircraft before taking departing.

Sufficient Fuel

Small aircrafts understandably tend to have smaller fuel tanks than full-sized aircrafts. For long-distance trips it would be wise to own an auxiliary fuel tank for small FLS jets to increase the amount of fuel available. Such a tank can allow the aircraft to travel for longer distances or longer amounts of time, essentially extending the size of the aircraft’s fuel tank. This can be absolutely important when you need to reach destinations beyond your aircraft’s specified range without stopping, such as flying overseas.

Chargers to Stay Productive

Many commercial aircrafts now come equipped with outlets for passengers to charge whatever they may have with them, be it a phone or a laptop. While perhaps not as necessary as a clean water tank from Turtle-Pac, your small aircraft should either have outlets installed or you should purchase portable chargers. This will allow you and the other passengers to work, listen to music, or watch movies without worrying about running out of battery during a potentially long travel.
